Creative Non Violent Direct Action Workshop

ShitHarperDid presents an Introduction to Creative Non-violent Direct Action workshop with Brigette DePape and Sean Devlin from 12PM - 6PM on February 23rd. Please RSVP by filling out this form.

Who: Brigette DePape and Sean Devlin of

What: An innovative program designed to help participants unleash their creative spirits while remaining rooted in sound strategy.  By re-imagining action planning as a highly creative process we create an experience that is part participation, part revelation.  This session runs for six hours and covers principles of creative direct action, the action logic framework and the action planning process.  The training will also provide participants with the role playing physical and confrontational action scenarios.

We will hear stories from people who have used non-violent direct action to defend their lands from industrial projects. Speakers to be announced.

The presenters, Brigette DePape and Sean Devlin have received formal facilitation training (from a variety of different sources) and direct action trainer training from The Ruckus Society.

Directions: SFU Woodwards World Art Centre, 149 West Hastings, Vancouver (Between Cambie and Abbott, though the main entrance is around back, accessible off West Cordova St.)

Snacks and coffee will be provided at the break. There is no cost, and people of all ages are welcome.
